How to Find Your Saved Reels on Instagram

Instagram buries your saved Reels four taps deep. Here is exactly where they live, how to organize them — and how to keep the ones that matter from vanishing.

Key Takeaways

  • Saved Reels live under Profile → Menu → Saved — four taps from your feed.
  • Collections help, but they are manual, unsearchable, and capped by your patience.
  • A saved Reel disappears if the creator deletes or privates the original post.
  • For workout Reels, saving the actual video into a tagged library is the only permanent fix.

Where are my saved Reels on Instagram? Open Instagram and go to your profile, tap the three-line menu in the top right, then tap Saved. Your Reels are inside the “All posts” collection, newest first. You can create Collections to group them, but there is no search inside your saves.

The four taps Instagram makes you take

Profile → menu → Saved → All posts. That is where every bookmarked Reel lands. There is no search bar in there, no filters, and the grid shows thumbnails only — so finding “that dumbbell shoulder finisher from three weeks ago” means scrolling and squinting.

Collections: better than nothing, worse than a library

Long-press the bookmark icon and you can file a Reel into a Collection (“Legs”, “Abs”). It works — until it does not. Collections are manual, one-dimensional (a clip cannot be “Legs” and “Dumbbells”), and everything still depends on the original post staying up.

Why saved never means safe

A bookmark is a pointer, not a copy. If the creator deletes the post, goes private, or gets banned, your save silently dies — the classic link rot problem. The workouts you care about deserve better odds.

The permanent fix for workout Reels

For training content, save the actual video into a library built for it. With Save My Workout, you tap Share on the Reel, the clip is trimmed and compressed, and it is filed by muscle group, equipment, and creator — on your phone, where no deleted post can take it away.
